Machine receivers are ideal for the machine operator to continually check their levels as they work with out the need to hop out of the cab and grab a staff and staff mounted receiver. These machine mounted receivers work on all visible reb beam rotating lasers.

For a laser to be good at earthmoving applications there are a few features which are critical. First you need good range so a rotating laser is a must and secondly you need to have "Tilt" this features shuts down the rotation when the laser level has been knocked out of position so avoiding working on the wrong level. Other features which are desirable for earthmovers are; Sensitivity or vibration settings to cope with potential ground vibrations from mechinery (ideally you would aim to set up any laser away from the mechinery its self), Dual grade setting capability and in the case of the DGL3000 electronic "dial a grade", Long lasting batteries for set and forget usability and finally quadrant beam shield. This is the ability to blank off electronically segments of rotation thus allowing operation of multiple lasers on site without getting multiple level readings or problems from reflections.
