For plumbing and drainage jobs you need a laser that can do grades, whether its roofing, domestic drains or main sewage lines. All the lasers above have grade setting capability as you go up the models you get extra features which may make you job easier or make the laser usable for other applications. The GRADE1KIT is a great little manual levelling laser with a dial that you can simply rotate off a grade, very simple and very easy to use. The EM623, EGL624/G and CXR880 all have dual grade capability, although all these lasers are electronically auto levelling the grades are set manually by measuring out a distance from the laser then sloping the laser down/Up to the desired grade. If you are doing grade work day in day out on a large scale then the DGL3000 will be for you with full auto grade setting simply punch the grade into the panel and the laser sets it up for you. The PL650 pipe laser is a specialist laser for grading pipes, again fully electronic grade setting with visible dot.
