CMI Lasers Warranty Terms and Conditions

All rotating lasers and optical levels come with a limited two year warranty, fixed beam lasers come with a limited one year warranty, hand tools come with a limited 3 month warranty as do rechargeable batteries supplied with lasers. The warranty duration for each unit is written in the instruction book and also displayed on advertising literature. The warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by or resulting from misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised repair or abnormal use. If the equipment fails under the warranty period or conditions it will need to be returned to place of purchase or CMI Lasers direct together with proof of purchase for replacement or repair. For all Rotating Lasers and Optical levels it is CMI Lasers policy to offer a replacement refurbished unit if desired by the customer for the first six months of warranty period, except under the following circumstances; The unit shows signs of physical damage or the unit has been engraved on. In these cases the unit will need to be returned for evaluation and repair. Any units returned that do not fulfil warranty criteria will be quoted for repair.

CMI Lasers recommend that you check your equipment for calibration** from time to time as units may go out of calibration with excessive vibration or after drops or knocks. Calibration is not covered by warranty, however, we provide a once off free calibration for any units that need re-calibration during the warranty period. Note that this offer is invalid if the unit shows signs of accidental damage, unauthorised repair or abnormal use. Also note that when returning the unit to CMI Lasers for free calibration the customer is liable for freight, CMI lasers will arrange and cover return freight. Any subsequent need to be re-calibrated will be attract a service charge.

**Simple guides to checking calibration are supplied either as a card inside the lid of hard carry cases or outlined within the instruction manual for each unit. A calibration guide sheet can be downloaded in PDF format in the "DOWNLOADS" section
